Holofit Virtual Reality: Brilliant gadget or waste of money?

9 December 2020 by the editorial office

News: Is this the future of cycling at home? In quarantine? Or just because the weather is bad? Never else could such a product launch make more sense than it is now, because training at home is more popular than ever. So why not spice it up a bit and dive into virtual reality? Almost any destination or any environment can be brought into your own living room. So what is behind the Holofit Virtual Reality from Sport-Tiedje?

Matching the season, the winter world.

Fitness 3D: Training fun in virtual worlds

Cycling through Paris, exploring tropical worlds by boat or visiting Antarctica ... Holofit makes it possible despite Corona. The 3D virtual reality (VR) fitness app offers breathtaking training environments. In which, thanks to VR glasses, every athlete can immerse themselves as if they were real.

With currently more than ten different "worlds" the training can be shifted virtually anywhere. You drive through real cities, row through ancient sites or fly to Saturn and can look around freely in space - even check over your shoulder to see if the competition is keeping a distance. Every training session becomes a virtual tour of discovery into worlds near and far.

Gamification in training

If you need even more action and like to play, you can collect trophies, catch flamingos or open secret doors. Nevertheless, the real fitness goals do not get out of sight: Challenges contribute to a sustainable increase in performance, fat burning and HIIT programs ensure that the adventure becomes sweaty.

There is also plenty of competition: if you want, you can compete against friends and family in real time and in the environment of your choice. Holofit expands the range of training options monthly. In this way, there is no shortage of fun during training, motivation remains high and the path to your personal fitness goal becomes easier.

Mobile phone, app, VR glasses – and off you go

Load the Holofit app from the app store onto your smartphone, enter the license code for a 3-month, 12-month or lifetime subscription, insert the smartphone into the Holofit VR glasses, put it on and start the workout.

The Holofit app connects to the fitness device via Bluetooth and transfers the performance data to the app - for efficient training and realistic movements in the virtual world that reflect the intensity of the workout.

The cadence sensor is compatible with many devices.

Holofit works with almost all rowing machines, cross trainers, ergometers and bikes - if the computer does not provide a Bluetooth connection, the device can be connected using a cadence sensor, which is easily attached to a rotating part of the device, e.g. the flywheel or the pedal arms . This applies to training at home in the living room, but also to the gym. The app control works very simply by moving your head.
