Fizik Terra Argo saddles: Gravel seating pleasure

10 November 2020 by Florian Nowak

Product news: With the Fizik Terra Argo saddles, the specialist for components and shoes has expanded its range of bicycle saddles with the Terra Argo X3 and X5 saddles, which were specially developed for gravel rides. Due to the special shape and construction, riders should feel the best comfort on rough ground and spend many pleasant hours in the saddle.

Actually, the Argo series from Fizik is characterized by its short nose. Because this puts the focus on stability and power transmission and thus a large number of needs of drivers of all disciplines can be covered. The shorter length of the Argo is offset by wider sit bone support and together with a generous central cutout, the models have already made many riders happy. The main goal: Comfortable and ideal for a wide range of terrains and body types. From the Fizik Vento Argo, a high-end saddle for sporty road riders, to the Fizik Tempo Argo, an endurance saddle for all-day rides and a focus on comfort, almost every rider will find something in the lineup.

Fizik Terra Argo saddles

With the introduction of the Terra models to Fizik's Argo range of saddles, an adventurous touch has been added to this great all round saddle shape's adaptability. So even on paper it sounds like the perfect companion for any gravel adventure. Of course, there's more to the build than just a few cool words. Starting with the surface, the Fizik Terra Argo saddles feature a wave profile with a raised tail that holds the rider in place and supports both steep climbs and choppy terrain. The lowered nose and the wide central cutout enable pressure-free driving and better power transmission.

In order to absorb bumps and noise in the terrain, the comfortable carbon shell of the Fizik Terra Argo saddles offers a certain degree of flexibility and dampens vibrations and irregularities. In addition, the well-known Wingflex technology ensures that the edges of the saddle adapt to the movement of the inner leg to allow an unrestricted kick. The type 2 foam of the Terra Argo models also ensures sufficient comfort throughout the day, no matter how uncomfortable the gravel path gets.

The Fizik Terra Argo saddle models are available in two versions, each with two widths for a perfect, individual fit. The Terra Argo X3 uses lightweight, hollow Kium seat stays, while the X5 stays are made of ultra-strong S alloy. Both models are configured in Fizik's Mobius layout for added structural stability. The Fizik Terra Argo X3 and X5 saddles are available now from Fizik retailers or online for €129 and €89 respectively.
