Bulls E-Stream EVA 2 27,5+: What distinguishes a women's E-MTB?

27 October 2020 by the editorial office

E-Performance: Not all bicycles are the same, and not all e-bikes are the same. Because if different terrains and bike disciplines have the right bike, there are also differences in women's and men's e-bikes. In the past, only the frame was lowered. But today modern e-bikes are adapted to the sexes in almost all components. What is the difference and what should you pay attention to when buying? We explain using the Bulls E-Stream EVA 2 27,5+!

The Bulls E-Stream EVA 2 27.5+.

frame and geometry

The geometry is very similar to a regular uni frame, but women's bikes are usually also available in smaller sizes such as XS, so that they are also suitable for smaller riders. With the shape of the frame itself, the top tube is usually pulled down a bit to make it easier to get on. Depending on the application, a complete step-through can also be used.

components and attachments

When it comes to the built-in components, it becomes a bit more specific, because here the topic of body size is again discussed and taken into account accordingly. Handlebars, stem, crank arms - a number smaller is specifically chosen for many attachments in order to adapt the e-bike to the female anatomy.

links: This is somewhat narrower, of course always tailored to the bike. So it is important that the handlebars on mountain bikes are slightly wider than on city and trekking bikes. Nevertheless, the cockpit with a width of 720 mm is somewhat narrower than that of comparable uni or men's e-bikes. In addition, some manufacturers use slightly thinner handles.

crank arms: As a rule, crank arms with a length between 170 mm and 175 mm are installed on mountain bikes. The Bulls E-Stream EVA 2 27,5+ relies on 165 mm long crank arms. So it fits much better, especially for the frame size XS. A more comfortable pedaling behavior results.

engine and battery

When it comes to the motor and battery, standard products are used, and when it comes to software, there are only adjustments here in exceptional cases. The Bulls E-Stream Eva 2 27,5+ relies on the powerful and very light Brose Drive-S Mag with 250 watts of power and a full 90 Nm of torque.

This not only speaks very naturally, but can also go to the extreme in terms of support power. In order to last long enough, the BMZ Supercore battery is offered with a capacity of either 555 Wh or 750 Wh. A GPS module for the 750 battery is also available as an option, so that you can quickly find the bike again if you lose it.

Bulls E-Stream Eva 2 27,5+: equipment list

The equipment list in detail reads almost like any other e-bike, but attention is paid to the detail of the components to find the right dimensions even for smaller sizes.
