E-Performance: Serial 1 Cycle Company is a small, specialized e-bike manufacturer from the USA. The company was founded together with the American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson and has now announced its entry into the e-bike market and the first Harley Davidson e-bike. The new company's first products will be launched in spring 2021. Serial 1 Cycle Company's name comes from "Serial Number One", the nickname of the oldest known Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The company combines the product development capability of Harley-Davidson with the innovative power of a start-up brand.

Serial 1: Started as a secret project
The Harley Davidson e-bike project was born as a secret project deep in the motorcycle builders' product development center and started with a small group of passionate motorcycle and bicycle enthusiasts. They worked flat out to design and develop an e-bike worthy of the Harley-Davidson name. In order to achieve this goal as efficiently as possible, it was decided to restructure the e-bike business into a new company. This allowed this unit to focus solely on providing the best e-bike product and experience.
The Serial 1 brand is now managed by a team of former Harley-Davidson executives that includes Jason Huntsman, President; Ben Lund, vice president and product development; Aaron Frank, Brand Director and Hannah Altenburg, Senior Marketing Specialist.

The global e-bike market was valued at over $2019 billion in 15 and is projected to grow at more than 2020 percent annually between 2025 and 6.
