Per e-bike handlebar: Ergonomic high-end performance

September 3, 2020 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The manufacturer of attachments Pro is presenting a specific Pro e-bike handlebar in the new MTB lineup for the first time, which is intended to combine comfort, performance and style and at the same time wants to ensure the best overview of all information.

Regardless of whether you want to give your beloved e-bike an upgrade or whether you want to build a new dream bike from scratch, with the new attachments from Pro for mountain bikes and e-MTBs, every bike becomes a real eye-catcher. Thanks to high-quality design, detailed development and modern innovations, the new products can skilfully combine comfort, performance and style.

Pro e-bike components

Pro e-bike handlebar

One of the highlights of the new lineup for the fall is the Pro E-Bike handlebar Koryak E-Performance, which is equipped with a cut-out for the Shimano Steps E-MTB display that has been fitted into the design and, incidentally, takes rigidity and integration to the next level . On the one hand, the display is well protected and, on the other hand, it is always in the field of vision, so that all important driving information is clearly visible at all times. It also has handles specially designed for e-bike use, which form a seamless interface with the switches for the e-bike drive unit.

The new Pro E-Bike handlebar Koryak E-Performance MTB handlebar is the first fully integrated handlebar-stem-grip combination whose design allows an e-bike display to be accommodated in the handlebar. The handlebar is ideal for dedicated eMTB riders who spend a lot of time in the saddle and want to get the last bit of performance out of their eMTB. The carbon construction and shape are primarily responsible for the performance aspect, which not only allows all cables to be easily routed inside, but is also designed vertically and laterally in such a way that rigidity and comfort, direct steering control and an optimal seating position are optimized in equal measure.

The Pro E-Bike handlebar is 800 mm wide and therefore ideal for demanding terrain, 65 mm stem extension leads to a "reach" value of 49 mm thanks to the backsweep design. The superelevation is 20 mm and 11 degrees of backsweep significantly reduce the strain on the hands. The handlebars accommodate all current Shimano Steps E-MTB system displays and have contoured grips that are precisely adapted to the design of the Shimano Steps support switches.

Pro mountain bike components

The stiff and light Pro Tharsis 3Five carbon handlebar with a diameter of 35 mm including the Pro Tharsis 3Five stem for sporty cross-country use is available for everyone who really wants to let it rip in the forest.

The design of the new Pro Tharsis components reflects exactly the current trend towards stiffer parts in cross-country and gravity areas. The 35 mm oversized carbon handlebars come in five versions: the Tharsis 3Five Flat, Flat Top, Mini Rise (also available in aluminium), Rise and High Rise. The perfect addition is a new oversized Alu 7050 Tharsis stem with +/- 90 degrees for cross-country race use, which is available in lengths of 60-100 mm.

The Pro MTB range is rounded off by two new dropper seat posts with internal cable routing: a Tharsis seat post with 100 mm adjustment travel for 27,2, 30,9 and 31,6 mm seat tubes and a Koryak version with 150 mm adjustment travel for 34,9 mm seat tubes.

All new Pro products will be available in stores from November 2020, only the 27,2 mm version of the Tharsis Vario post will not be available until spring 2021.
