Cycling: The Slovenes dominate the Tour de France! Again there was a double victory. Tadej Pogacar won ahead of Primoz Roglic. Egan Bernal, who is completely out of the fight for the podium, has to take a bitter defeat.

Fall: Jungels clears Higuita
The professionals had to conquer the Grand Colombier three times on today's 15th stage of the Tour de France - on three different access routes. Although we have already seen a few mountain stages in the past few days, the 174,5-kilometer section that starts in Lyon is the toughest stage so far. Unfortunately can no longer fight for a day win Pierre Latour (AG2R La Mondiale). The Frenchman couldn't finish yesterday's stage and is therefore just like his teammate Romain Bardet (AG2R La Mondiale) out of the race. Today it has been before the start of the mountains Sergio Higuita (EF) caught. The Colombian champions fell victim to a sudden wave of Bob jungels (Deceuninck - Quick Step). In this fall he broke his hand and possibly several fingers, so that he could no longer operate the brake and consequently had to give up.
Green Jersey: Bennett extends lead on Sagan
In addition to the sad news about falls and tasks, there were of course also cycling races. Eight drivers were able to break away. Simon Geschke (CCC), Matteo Trentin (CCC), Niccolo Boniface (Total Direct Energy), Michael Gogl (NTT), Pierre Roland (B&B Hotels – Vital Concept), Jesus Herrada (Cofidis), Marco Marcato (UAE) and Kevin Ledanois (Arkéa - Samsic) were awarded a lead of over 5 minutes. While Matteo Trentin won the intermediate sprint out of the breakaway group Sam Bennett (Deceuninck – Quick Step) and Michael Morkov (Deceuninck – Quick-Step) again Peter Sagan (Bora – hansgrohe) behind. The Irish champion now leads the fight for the green jersey with 45 points in front of the Slovak.
Outliers: No chance for Gogl & Co.
First to reach the top of the Montée de la Selle de Fromentel Jesus Herrada. The maximum number of points at the Col de la Biche was secured Pierre Rolland. The Austrians were able to last the longest as a breakaway alongside the French Michael Gogl. But since the Jumbo - Visma team had been running at a very high pace throughout the day, the escapees didn't stand a chance today. Had no luck either William Martin (Cofidis). The only remaining hope of the French suffered a flat tire at the foot of the final climb. Although he came back to the group of favorites, but he left a lot of strength.
Bernal & Quintana tear early
The 17,4-kilometre Grand Colombier final climb promised fireworks among the favourites. Even before the start of the Tour de France, many fans marked this day in red on their calendars - and drivers certainly did too. As wout van aert (Jumbo – Visma) after Robert Geink (Jumbo – Visma) took over the pace dictate, rows of strong climbers and class riders flew back. Warren Barguil (Arkéa – Samsic) had to give up as well as the Colombians Egan Bernal (Ineos) and Nairo Quintana (Arkea – Samsic). While Jumbo - Visma was still five in the favorites group, you didn't see a single Ineos jersey anymore.
Pogacar wins ahead of Roglic and Porte
The next attack came - due to the unbelievably high speed - only 500 meters from the finish. Primois Roglic himself dismounted and continued his attack. The group of favorites immediately flew apart. However, there were no longer large time intervals. In the final sprint of the four strongest climbers of the day, they finally sat down again Tadej pogacar (UAE) ahead of Primoz Roglic. Richie porte (Trek – Segafredo) took a strong third, cementing his claims for a place on the podium.
