News: Drive-in cinemas have experienced a true renaissance in recent months and especially during the period of strict lockdown. However, no one thought of cyclists. The component manufacturer Shimano and the mail order company Fahrrad.de want to change that.
Cinema fun for the whole family
Thanks to the increasing relaxation, events on a small scale are now possible again. One of these events is the music festival Live Summer 2020 at Stuttgart Airport. Instead of a drive-in cinema, there will be an open-air cinema for cyclists on Saturday, July 11th. In cooperation with the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, the two companies invite cyclists to the open-air cinema on the final day of the event.
The event area in the P0 car park at Stuttgart Airport opens its doors to 249 cyclists of all ages. The starting signal is at 10:15 a.m. with the short film “The Elephant and the Bicycle”. It continues on the huge open-air screen with the highlight, the children's animated film "Mullewap - A Beautiful Mess".
Proven hygiene concept for untroubled fun
Tickets for the event are available through the event page. In addition to single tickets for adults and discounted tickets for children, discounted tickets for several people are also available. For a relaxed film experience, deck chairs are available on site, set up at a sufficient distance from each other. Snacks and cold drinks are also provided.
"Thanks to the proven hygiene concept of the LiveSummer 2020 events and the additional option of using the surrounding dirt roads to get there, all our guests can concentrate fully on having fun with Mullewapp" - Michael Wild, Head of Marketing and PR at Paul Lange & co)
Even as Live Summer 2020 comes to an end next weekend, the open-air cinema for cyclists does not have to remain a one-off thing. After all, what could be nicer than going on a bike ride with family or friends on a warm summer evening and enjoying a film with a cold drink. Nice change or model with a future - what do you think?
