Ampler Bikes expands in Germany: Showroom opening in Cologne

July 17, 2020 by the editorial office

E-Performance: The young e-bike company from Estonia is opening its second showroom in Germany, thereby strengthening its largest market. The store in Cologne will be inaugurated on July 25, 2020 and will in future function as a test drive and service center for the region. After Ampler Bikes was able to record a 100% increase in sales in Germany, this is the right step from the point of view of the founders.

“We are very pleased to open a new showroom in Cologne. This is the region where most of our customers are based and it is important for us to keep improving the level of service and the Ampler experience. Cologne is a very beautiful city with a great cycling culture, so we think this is the right place to expand. The new Cologne showroom is an important milestone for Ampler and strengthens our presence not only in Germany but also for the nearby Benelux customers”. – Ardo Kaurit, CEO and co-founder of Ampler Bikes

Ampler is an e-bike success story

Ampler reports year-over-year growth of over 2020% for the first six months of 100. Founded in Estonia, the company for alternative, urban mobility has its largest market in Germany with 80 percent of all bicycles sold. After opening the branch in Berlin in 2018, the opening of the Cologne showroom is a logical step in expansion.

To underpin Ampler's position in Germany and in agreement with the growing global bicycle trend, Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid presented the Ampler model Stout as an official gift to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in June.

As a manufacturer of light, urban pedelecs, Ampler Bikes currently employs 70 people, a quarter of whom work in Germany. There are currently Ampler brand ambassadors at 22 different German locations for test drives and the company has built up a constantly growing service center network with service partners in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Hanover.

Base for NRW and BeNeLux

Address: Severinstr. 111, 50678 Cologne
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 19:00 p.m.; Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 17:00 p.m

The direct sales company's new showroom is located in the lively southern part of Cologne, at Severinstraße 111. It will act as the base for all Ampler activities in North Rhine-Westphalia and the Benelux countries. This includes bike ordering and collection in the showroom, a test ride center, as well as the regional guarantee and bike workshop service. It also serves as a community contact point for all new and existing customers.
