Product news: With the Transition Spur, the American cult manufacturer Transition Bikes is launching a very hot candidate for long days in the saddle and brisk trail tours. The 29″ full suspension bike comes from the factory with 120 millimeters of travel at the front and rear, the frame is made entirely of high-quality Japanese Toray carbon fibers.

Whether it's trails, multi-day tours, speed bumps or even an XC race, with the Transition Spur the Bellingham/Washington-based "rider owned and operated mountain bike manufacturer" promises a marathon bike that, according to their own statements, is available for (almost) everything should. In fact, the basic recipe of the new 29″ trail rocket sounds very promising. 120 millimeters of spring travel are used both at the front and at the rear, which promises efficient climbing as well as fun shredding. A 190 x 45 mm air spring damper is installed, which can be individually adjusted to your own preferences via the number of volume spacers and the sag of 25 to 35%. Riders with sporting ambitions can also install a damper with 100 mm spring travel (190 x 40 mm) if required.
Full carbon frame made from high-quality Japanese Toray carbon fibers
The focal point of the Transition Spur is the full carbon frame made from high-quality Japanese Toray carbon fibers. The unique EPS molding process with latex coating enabled the designers to create a strikingly angular frame shape. According to the manufacturer, unnecessary material was also saved during development. The flex of the stays eliminates the need for bearings and pivot points on the rear triangle, further reducing weight and maintenance. Thanks to GiddyUP Suspension, the damper setup should be easier than ever. When it comes to the suspension characteristics, the Americans rely on a progression of almost 30% and a linear spring characteristic. This combination should guarantee the rider efficient pedaling and acceleration with an immediately responsive suspension - as soon as the surface requires it. A lockout lever is therefore superfluous.
Transition Spur: Lifetime warranty for the first owner
For unrestricted freedom of movement on the trails, the Transition Spur has a short seat tube, which means that a dropper post with more travel can be used. Low-maintenance EnduroMAX bearings in standard sizes are installed in the pivot points. If necessary, they can be easily replaced anywhere in the world and at any time. Other features of the frame are the attachment option on the underside of the top tube for accessories and tools as well as the two bottle holder mounts. The overall package is rounded off by a lifetime guarantee for the first owner and a crash replacement by Transition Bikes. The Transition Spur is available in three configurations at prices between 5.399,00 and 9.499,00 euros, but the frame is also available separately for 3.199,00 euros.
