Cream Cycles Happy Wagon: Car replacement with electric drive?

19 May 2020 by the editorial office

E-Performance: Can the Creme Cycle Happy Wagon actually replace a car? The advertising brochure at least promises it and the prerequisites for it seem to have been created. Because thanks to the electric drive and enough luggage space, a lot is possible with this new type of cargo bike. Picking up the children from school or simply transporting the week's shopping on the oversized luggage rack.

The display is central and informative.

Creme Cycles Happy Wagon : Sufficient strength and endurance

The Happy Wagon comes with a Shimano drive system with 250 watts of power and a powerful 504 Wh battery. In this way, the purchase can be fetched from the nearest town or the city center with full support. But the highlight of the drive is in the rear, because Creme Cycles relies on the Shimano Nexus 6 transmission, which has been optimized for e-cargo bikes. This enables simple gear changes to be carried out even under high loads. In addition, the wheel hub gears generally require significantly less maintenance than conventional derailleur gears.

Creme Cycles Happy Wagon : Well thought out from front wheel to rear wheel

The engineers have attached great importance to the small details in practical use. You won't find a retractable Vario seat post that you actually know from the mountain bike segment on any other cargo bike. The idea was to get your feet on the ground when starting and stopping, in order to get the necessary stability.

The seat post is clearly visible. If you stop, it can be easily lowered and provides stability.

Anti-theft protection has also been considered. Thanks to the specially developed Velo-Guard, the handlebars can be quickly locked in one position with one grip, which makes it impossible to drive away. Due to its size and weight, the bike is difficult to carry away.

Super bright lighting elements ensure the necessary safety and visibility even at night. A Supernova headlight with 235 lumens and StVO approval shines to the front, 20 lumens of strong, ultra-bright LEDs from Supernova are responsible for visibility from behind.

Creme Cycles Happy Wagon: Variable luggage system

Various transport solutions can be easily attached to the basic frame construction. There is the option of mounting up to two child seats for the little ones, in which they can sit safely. As soon as the offspring gets bigger, you can mount a kind of seat board instead of the child seats and thus have even more flexibility.

Specially adapted bags are also available for the frame in order to have enough space even on long tours. Shopping is also taken care of. The luggage system is compatible with various bags and also a special load carrier system.
