Product news: The new Basso Reflection collection is the new, limited product line from the traditional Italian manufacturer Basso Bikes. The special thing about this collection is the combination of the best technology with impressive design. All wheels are in production for a limited time only and are available at a special price during this time.
For the traditional Italian manufacturer Basso Bikes, the last few months were perhaps the most complicated in the company's history. Nevertheless, they wanted to use this negative situation and turn it into something positive. Of course, the curfews restricted everything, but also gave time to get an action rolling that would hardly have been possible under normal circumstances, according to Basso Bikes. The result is the Basso Reflection collection
The Basso Reflection Collection
The "Reflection" collection combines the Basso Diamante SV frame with the integrated Integra carbon cockpit. Add to that perhaps the most complex paint job in the company's history.
The background is quickly explained, because with the Diamant SV, the Basso Reflection collection uses the manufacturer's most modern frame platform to date and combines it with a high-quality cockpit for the best performance. SV stands for Super Veloce and is intended to refer to the aerodynamic properties of the Basso Diamant SV. As a top model, this bike contains all the know-how that Basso has acquired by hand over the past 40 years in the manufacture of high-quality racing bike frames. The Diamant SV has been designed to offer the driver the best and most efficient driving experience in terms of handling, response, aerodynamics, efficiency and reliability.
This is made possible, among other things, by the aerodynamically optimized tube shapes, as these also offer a light but efficient construction, which with carefully developed geometry should ensure a pleasant driving experience. In addition to the performance of the Basso Diamant SV, the topic of painting has always been an important mainstay of Basso Bikes. This is also the case with the Basso Reflection collection, because the OPAL White treatment, which Basso specially developed for its unique reflective properties, is used here. As the name suggests, the coloring takes its name from a precious stone and just like in nature, the process of creating the pseudo-achromatic optical effect for painting a frame is just as intricate, beautiful and rare. The inner structure of both the mineral and the color technique developed by Basso bends the light and creates a play of colors that, depending on the angle of reflection, discreetly shows the entire spectrum of colored light. Such a resemblance to the precious mineral derives not only from the color developed by Basso, but also from the technique with which it is applied. Five separate layers of different colors and different application techniques, coated with a specially developed transparent layer that protects the integrity of the color without inhibiting the diffraction of light.
However, the unique finishing technique is not just limited to the frame, it is also applied to the Integra carbon cockpit system for a unified and more complete overall look. Working closely with Selle San Marco, the finishing kit was even developed to offer a semi-reflective look via the Shortfit Racing Iridescent saddle and matching Racing Iridescent Performance Bar Tape.
