According to the manufacturer, the new bicycle tube is made of pure butyl rubber with very low air permeability. In conjunction with a wall thickness of 1,5 millimeters, the Air Plus tube should offer the user around 50 percent more air retention, depending on the tire size and air pressure. Of course, the high air retention benefits not only riders of e- and cargo bikes who are traveling with heavy loads, but also trekking and city bikers. Another advantage of the thicker walls is the higher protection against punctures and punctures. The new Schwalbe Air Plus hose is available in seven sizes from 20 to 29 inches and costs from EUR 11,90 depending on the size. The weight of the 28"/29" tube (model SV 19AP) is given as 320 grams, the 29+ version SV 19+AP weighs 420 grams according to the manufacturer.
