Best Cycling Movies #18: Life Cycles

18 April 2020 by Michael Behringer

Cycling Movies

Cycling Films: Off the Track. Downhill. High speeds. Lots of action. We could all describe today's featured films with these words. Because on day #18 we dive with the film, among other things Life Cycles into the world of mountain bikes.

Here you can watch Life Cycles for free.

Life cycle: The wheel is in the foreground

The trailer of Life Cycles begins with the words: "This isn't a bike movie. It's a film about a bicycle. That's a big difference. The bike - any bike - whether cheap or expensive. You are all great.” The documentation by the directors Derek Frankowski and Ryan Gibb not only impresses with great nature shots, but also with an epic depiction of the bicycle in all its facets. The viewers are taken on an exciting journey, which, despite the existence of many mountain bike and freeride films, is different from anything that has come before when it was released in 2010.

Mountain bike films over and over again

There is no shortage of mountain bike, freeride and adventure films in cycling. We could fill the whole month with movies from this scene. But we want to give you all recommended films at a glance. As well as Life Cycles - which has the edge in terms of production and modernity - we are impressed by 10 other top films that you absolutely must see. That means: Altogether there are even a few more, because most of the documentaries now mentioned have produced many parts over the last few years. And best of all, almost all of them can be streamed on YouTube for free.
