MTB News: The iXS Dirt Masters Festival is traditionally one of the spring classics in the MTB event calendar, but here too the dramatic spread of the corona virus Covid19 means the end of the planned event in May. But the fans don't have to or shouldn't do without the largest gravity festival in Europe entirely. The new date is from September 18th to 20th.
Under the motto "Always #Fullgas!", the iXS Dirt Masters Festival was scheduled to take place in Winterberg from May 21st to 24th, 2020. As in previous years, the Winterberg Bike Park expected over 1.800 athletes from around the world to compete in various disciplines. Last year, nearly 40.000 spectators watched the spectacle live. But that's not going to happen! The organizer writes on its website: "Concerns about public health have prompted the Ministry of Health of North Rhine-Westphalia to reconsider, postpone, or completely cancel large gatherings of all kinds. We are witnessing how the global health crisis is rewriting the 2020 event calendar." The May date has therefore been canceled, but a replacement date has already been set. The iXS Dirt Masters 2020 is currently scheduled to take place from September 18th to 20th.
