Brazen bike thieves: 22 BULLS Copperhead 3 stolen at 1. FC Köln

March 7, 2020 by the editorial office

We have known for a long time that the BULLS Copperhead 3 is one of the most popular mountain bikes of all (click here for the test on Velomotion.de). Yesterday, the Cologne Express.

All 22 Copperhead 3 models used by the Cologne Bundesliga squad to supplement their training (Velomotion.de reported), were stolen from metal containers at the training ground.

Athletic trainers Dennis Morschel (right) and Max Weuthen (left) regularly use the Bulls MTBs in FC training.

The weekly recovery ride on the Copperhead is an integral part of the training plan

The club officials filed a complaint against unknown persons, whereupon the criminal police also moved into the players' cabins to secure evidence. 1. FC Köln is on an upward trend under new coach Markus Gisdol and has clearly left the relegation zone behind. Whether this is also due to the fact that Gisdol attaches so much importance to the regeneration rides on the BULLS bikes after a Bundesliga match day is not certain ... but the pros will definitely miss the bikes.

Velomotion.de had the Copperhead 3 in the chic black of the 2019 version for test drives in the editorial office.

The resulting damage is around 22.000 euros.

The Cologne-based two-wheeler purchasing cooperative ZEG, to which the BULLS brand belongs and which is a sponsor of FC Cologne with the Pegasus brand, wants to help ensure that an equivalent replacement for the training of the kickers can be obtained as quickly as possible. Shortly before Easter and with a bestseller as popular as the BULLS Copperhead 3, this is not so easy. But ZEG board member Georg Honkomp has already declared the quick procurement of the bikes to be a top priority.
