Pogacar moves up to #2 in the standings

Heard without a doubt Tadej pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) is one of the strongest and therefore most successful professionals in the still young season. With his fourth win of the season, the Slovenian was able to prevail over the competition at the second mountain finish on the Jebel Hafeet. After a tough elimination ride, only three climbers remained at the summit. leader Adam Yates (Mitchelton – Scott) was able to easily defend his overall lead in third place and left today's success to the others.

Yates is set for overall UAE Tour victory

alexey lutsenko (Astana) lost Tadey Pogacar finally close in the sprint. When crossing the finish line, neither of them knew who actually won. The Kazakh even started to cheer. These three now occupy the podium of the UAE Tour in the order Yates – Pogacar – Lutsenko. This is unlikely to change due to the two remaining flat stages.
