February 8rd 2020 by Michael Behringer

Pogacar Tour of Valencia

Cycling: Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) clinched his second stage win at the Tour of Valencia. The 21-year-old Slovenian won the king's stage and is therefore close to overall victory.

Pogačar climbs in a different league

In the past year it has already been indicated: With Tadej pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) the cycling circus has gained a new top climber. Now it seems to come true. Because the Slovenian also won the second mountain finish at the Valencia Tour. On the king's stage over 170 kilometers from Calp to Altea, the 21-year-old left no doubt that overall victory would belong to him. He won the section with an attack in the middle of the final climb Wout poels (Bahrain – McLaren) and Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineo).
