February 14, 2020 by Michael Behringer

Walscheid Langkawi

Cycling: Max Walscheid (NTT) celebrated his second stage win today at the Tour de Langkawi. In the bunch sprint he didn't give any of his competitors a chance on the last leg.

Walscheid also wins the sprint classification

In the district capital of the island of Langkawi Max Walscheid (NTT) sprinted to his second win of the season. The Italian Luca pacioni (Androni – Giocattoli – Sidermec) and the Australian Taj Jones (ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast) only finished second and third. So Max Walscheid can also be happy about the victory in the sprint classification.

Sapura Cycling with a successful home tour

In the overall standings, the Italian left Danielo Celano (Sapura Cycling) no longer take the lead. The Kazakhs are behind or next to him on the podium Yevgeny Fedorov (Vino – Astana Motors) and the Russian Artem Ovechkin (Terengganu Inc. TSG Cycling Team). Overall, the Sapura team - a team from Malaysia - will be extremely satisfied with their own performance. In addition to the overall victory, one drove in person Muhammad Nur Aiman Mohd Zariff (Sapura Cycling) also achieved success in the mountains classification. The team also finished first in the team ranking.
