Tour Colombia #5: Molano perfects his sprint hat-trick

February 15rd 2020 by Michael Behringer

Molano Colombia

Cycling: Stage win number three for Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Team Emirates). The Colombian won the fifth leg of the Tour Colombia in a mass sprint - and thus perfected the sprint hat-trick on his home tour.

The fifth stage of the Tour Colombia 2020 is behind us. After 180,5 kilometers from Paipa to Zipaquirá, as expected, there was a mass sprint. There it was possible again - for the third time in a row - Juan Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates) prevail. Alvaro Hodeg (Deceuninck – Quick-Step) was also at a disadvantage, as was third-placed Jonathan Restrepo (Androni - Giocattoli - Sidermec). In the overall standings, there were no changes in the top positions. Continued Leader is thus Sergio Higuita (EF).
