Cycling: Fernando Gaviria (UAE Team Emirates) celebrated his second win of the season at the Vuelta a San Juan. In the mass sprint he only had to complete the perfect preparatory work done by his teammates.

Gaviria is again the fastest

Fernando Gaviria (UAE Team Emirates) has struck again. The Colombian won stage four of the Vuelta a San Juan in a bunch sprint. From San José de Jáchal to Villa San Agustín he again proved to be the fastest sprinter in the peloton after 185,8 kilometers. After perfect preliminary work, he gave Rudy Barbier (Israel Start-Up Nation), Alvaro Hodeg (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) and Peter Sagan (Bora - hansgrohe) no chance. Overall leader remains Remco Evenepoel (Deceuninck – Quick-Step), who was even able to secure an extra second in an intermediate ranking.
