Primoz Roglic dominates one-day races
Vuelta winner Primož Roglič (Jumbo-Visma) appears to have maintained his top form even weeks after the Spanish Grand Tour. The Slovenian has secured two victories in one-day races within the last four days. On Saturday, the 29-year-old won the 102nd Giro dell'Emilia, triumphing by 14 seconds ahead of Michael Woods and Sergio Higuita, both from Team EF Education First. Today, Tuesday, at the 99th edition of Tre Valli Varesine, he finished three seconds ahead of Giovanni Visconti (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italia-KTM) and Toms Skujins (Trek-Segafredo). Roglič impressed in both races with explosive attacks just before the finish. In this form, the former ski jumper is also among the favorites for victory in the Tour of Lombardy, which will be held next Saturday as the final Monument of the year.
