Product news: Product News: New Titans Grove course opened on Zwift!

August 2, 2019 by Florian Nowak

Product News: A new course was released today in the Zwift world Watopia with the Titans Grove course. The route is inspired by the landscape of the Sequoia Forest and leads through the region's typical redwood trees.

Titans Grove takes inspiration from the High Sierras that are home to the world famous Sequoia National Park. The large boulders and giant sequoias that lie adjacent to the Fuego Flats cast welcome shade for those fresh from a desert trek.

The new section of road meanders through the hilly forest and has three gradual inclines. With a maximum gradient of 5%, these are climbs that offer enough challenge to make your legs ache, yet gentle enough that Zwifters can still sit back and enjoy the scenery. Each lap features an altitude gain of 158 m / 520 ft.

“I think that's maybe the most beautiful part of Watopia. Ever since we left Jarvis Island we've wanted to bring back a forest, so Titans Grove feels like home in a way. I'm not usually one for pausing on a workout, but this area rewards the eyes as much as the legs. I think our community will love exploring and seeing what creatures they can discover along the way,” said Eric Min, Zwift CEO and co-founder

Florian Nowak is a professional cyclist at the EuropeTour level and has competed in many international races. At the German championship in 2017, he was the best non-WorldTour professional in 7th place and was therefore able to recommend himself for the Tour de L'Avenir and the World Championships. But he doesn't just feel comfortable on the racing bike, he's also always drawn to off-road terrain. In addition to sport, he works on his second mainstay and has completed his business administration studies at the LMU Munich.
