Cannondale SuperSix EVO: New, Faster, Lighter

Since its introduction, the SuperSix Evo has been known for its elegant and dynamic ride qualities, but the company still wanted to further improve the bike and make it faster. In order to achieve a good balance between the opposing properties of weight and aerodynamics, new, blunted aero tube profiles are used, which are intended to reduce air resistance, while the values for weight, stiffness and driving feel are unchanged or even better than the previous frame. These fast tube shapes are an important part of the elegant system-integrated design, where the frame, fork, seatpost, handlebars, stem and wheels are perfectly matched to offer optimal performance. The result is a saving of 30 watts at 48 km/h compared to the previous model.

With so much speed and propulsion, however, comfort must not be neglected, which is why the new SAVE rear stays, the integrated seat post clamp and a new seat post are installed, which improve compliance by up to 18%. The SAVE handlebar should also offer better comfort and more aerodynamics. In addition, the construction allows a generous tire clearance for 30 mm wide tires.

"Aerodynamic efficiency has a major impact on speed and performance when cycling, so reducing drag was a high priority for the new SuperSix EVO.But it was just as important for the new road bike to retain its light weight, agility and smoothness that made previous models so successful.” – Nathan Barry, Cannondale Design Engineer

When it comes to speed, of course, the right wheels should not be missing. The HollowGram 45 KNØT wheels are a further development of the wide, aerodynamic rim profile with a light and versatile profile height of 45 mm.

Cannondale SuperSix EVO Connectivity

The Cannondale SuperSix EVO also offers riders a whole new way of riding and connecting to their road bike. With Cannondale Connected Technology, an integrated wheel sensor can be seamlessly paired with the new Cannondale App to provide highly accurate speed, distance and distance data. In addition, relevant information about the racing bike can be provided via the smartphone and detailed service reminders can be sent.
