Cycling: Caleb Ewan (Lotto – Soudal) clinched his second stage win at this year's Giro d'Italia. The little Australian left Arnaud Démare (Groupama – FDJ) and Pascal Ackermann (Bora – hansgrohe) behind in a mass sprint.
Three Italians escape
As was the case yesterday, no mountain classification stood in the way of the pros at the Giro d'Italia. On the 221,0 kilometer stage from Carpi to Novi Ligure, three Italians tried their luck as breakaways.
