General

General: Lazer Impala: New mountain bike helmet for trail riders

12 April 2019 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: The Belgian brand Lazer is expanding its range with a new mountain bike helmet for trail riders. The Lazer Impala has a deep-drawn helmet shell with EPS impact protection and is available both with and without MIPS technology. The helmet will be sold from April by Paul Lange & Co.

The new Lazer Impala comes with a low-slung helmet shell in the area of the temples and the back of the head, which is typical for this area of use. The deep cut, in combination with the EPS impact protection, should offer the rider maximum safety in the event of a fall. The designers have given the helmet a total of 22 strategically placed ventilation openings to ensure sufficient cooling even on strenuous rides, despite the large area covered. This also includes special inlets in the forehead area. The Lazer Impala has the proven Advanced Turnfit System for easy horizontal and vertical adjustment to different head shapes.

The large visor can be adjusted in three stages and also offers space for a goggle parking. Of course, the option of attaching an action cam is also essential for trail and enduro riders. This can be mounted quickly and easily using the supplied camera mount. Another highlight of the CE-certified Lazer Impala is the refinement of the bottom shell, which offers additional protection against wear in addition to a great premium finish. An LED light is also available as an option for night rides. The weight of the helmet is specified by the manufacturer as 295 grams in size S. The Lazer Impala is available in three sizes and in various attractive colors. The price is 119,95 euros without MIPS or 139,95 euros with MIPS.
