Product news: Möve franklin E-Fly: mechanical cyfly® drive with neodrives E rear motor for more driving dynamics and range

March 23, 2019 by the editorial office

Optimizing an e-bike drive with mechanics? This works out! The Mühlhausen startup Möve Bikes wanted to prove exactly that. Therefore, the team around managing director and co-founder Tobias Spröte combined the patented cyfly drive with an electric motor.

The patented cyfly drive delivers up to 30% more torque.

Improved driving dynamics and range.

Because the mechanical cyfly drive is supposed to deliver up to 30% more torque, the powerful and quiet neodrive Z20 rear hub motor benefits from more driving dynamics and a longer range. "The advantages of cyfly and the neodrives rear-wheel motor are further enhanced in the combination of both drives," explains MÖVE Bikes Managing Director and co-founder Tobias Spröte.

Due to the higher torque of the cyfly drive, it acts as a "range extender" so to speak and ensures a dynamic driving experience even when driving without electric support. This is only increased by the properties associated with the principle of the rear engine, here the Möve franklin E-Fly should offer a particularly dynamic driving experience compared to a mid-engine.

The rear wheel hub drive not only protects wearing parts such as the chain, but also delivers up to 40 Nm of torque.

Full torque in every situation

In addition, the maximum torque of 40 Nm is always fully available to the driver, regardless of the gear selection. In addition, the position of the motor protects wearing parts such as the chain and gears. In addition, the neodrive Z20 should be barely audible, which was one of the reasons for choosing this drive. For long downhill passages, the Möve franklin e-Fly has another ace up its sleeve with energy recovery. This will recharge the battery a little. "The Möve franklin E-Fly is the result of passionate engineering with a focus on functional innovation and quality for new enjoyment of cycling and thus a tangible Möve brand promise," says Tobias Spröte.

Just try. The EUR 199 service fee for a 14-day test drive will be deducted from the purchase.

Möve franklin E-Fly with Try & Buy and service package

The Try & Buy service also applies to the Möve franklin E-Fly. Prospective buyers have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the patented mechanical drive innovation cyfly for 14 days. You can test the Möve franklin E-Fly for 199 days directly from Möve or the Möve specialist dealer for a service fee of 14 euros. The service fee will of course be deducted from the purchase. The service includes the nationwide delivery of a ready-to-drive MÖVE franklin E-Fly - only the handlebars and saddle height remain to be adjusted. In addition, MÖVE Bikes offers all MÖVE Bike owners a mobility service with an individual service team visit if required.

The 2-inch touch display offers all the necessary information about the bike.

The Möve franklin E-Fly is available from over 50 specialist dealers throughout Germany and in the Möve online shop for 5.500 euros. In addition to the e-bike, the Möve product range also includes trekking, urban and mountain bikes with the patented cyfly drive.
