MTB-News / E-Performance: The German MTB downhill rocket Johannes "Fischi" Fischbach is now also electrified with his new sponsor. The newly crowned R Raymon rider will be at the start of the newly founded World E-Bike Series (WES for short), which will make four stops in Monaco, Switzerland, Italy and Spain in the inaugural season.
The new R Raymon driver Johannes Fischbach certainly cannot complain about a lack of work. Germany's fastest downhiller, who in addition to the competitions also works as a test rider and brand ambassador for the R Raymon brand, is expanding its commitment to the electrified sector. And not too close: With the start in the new World E-Bike Series, the 31-year-old multiple German champion in fourcross and downhill is treading a completely new path for him. This year, the freshly created series includes a total of four stops in Monaco, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. The organizers are also making a powerful statement: the new World E-Bike Series is to become the official "International Calendar Event" of the UCI. Convinced by the format, the organizers agree that the e-bike races will be more spectacular and exciting than conventional bike competitions. WES will make its first stop on April 13th and 14th in Monte Carlo under the patronage of the Prince of Monaco. Fischi will compete with the WES Team R Raymon Racing on a limited special edition of the E-SEVEN TRAILRAY in the Enduro discipline.
"It's going to be exciting and I'm excited to be part of the WES adventure. New races always have a special appeal and Monaco is definitely challenging terrain” – Johannes Fischbach
