MTB News: Like last year, the international MTB Bundesliga 2019 includes five competitions spread over four stations. However, there are differences in the classification of individual races: The new Bundesliga season 1 will be of higher sporting quality thanks to the upgrade of the Vulkan Bike Race and the Singer Bäumercup to category C2019.
The start of the international Bundesliga 2019 marks the beginning of May with the HC race in Heubach. Once again, BiketheRock forms the framework for the first run of the MTB Bundesliga. Every year, athletes from around 25 nations compete on the edge of the eastern Swabian Jura. Five weeks later in June, the mountain bike cracks will be guests at the Vulkan Race in Gedern, Hesse. The Bundesliga stops here for the third time, but for the first time as a C1 competition. In September, no fewer than three competitions are on the program within nine days. After the successful premiere in 2018, another short track race in category C21 will be held on the market square in Freudenstadt on September 3st. The cross-country races on Sunday are in the C1 category. Against the backdrop of the Hochfirst ski jump, the final of the international MTB Bundesliga 2019 will be fought in Titisee-Neustadt at the end of September. After two experimental events with a shorter race duration, the fifth edition of the Singer Forest Cup will again take place in the regular cross-country format - and thus also in the C1 category. In 2019, the double number of points introduced a few years ago in the final will be dispensed with.
