Germany Tour Open Race: 52 km or 105 km?
Auf dem Erfurt Cathedral Square the start of the amateur race of the Deutschland Tour 2019 will be given. Where the amateur athletes go is up to them. You have the choice between a shorter and a longer route. The shorter course takes you over 52 km along the foot of the Thuringian Forest. The challenging loop over 105 km includes a climb in the Thuringian Forest. The hobby drivers leave the state capital in a southerly direction following the Gera. In doing so, they will go through the home of the sprinter Marcel Kittel guided. The short route ends after a lap with 500 meters of altitude difference. Ambitious riders, on the other hand, will have around 1.200 vertical meters in their legs after the amateur race. You cycle further south to the winter sports resort of Oberhof and then you cycle the last 50 kilometers of the professional route to your destination at the ega, the Erfurt garden and leisure park.
