cycling: Product news: Squeezy with refillable gels

29 January 2019 by Florian Nowak

Product news: Squeezy is now offering new gel bottles with neck hangers to refill them after use. This should result in significantly less waste and create an environmentally friendly alternative.

Squeezy is now offering 125ml Energy Gel bottles (flavor: lemon) and Energy Super Gel (flavor: cola + caffeine) with a new "Neckhanger". This means that the bottle is much more visible than in the previous cardboard outer packaging, saves on outer packaging waste and thus reveals its function. Not only the neckhanger, but also the bottle itself offers an enormous advantage in terms of waste reduction compared to the 33g gel bags. There is no need to dispose of the individual gel bags and when the 125 ml bottle is empty, it can simply be refilled with a 500 ml Squeezy Energy Gel Refill. The 125ml bottle is also suitable for the dishwasher. Especially for cyclists, the easy handling is another enormous advantage. The annoying tearing open of the gel bag and the associated "spillage" is no longer necessary. The clasp is easy to open and close with your teeth. The bottle can easily be carried in the jersey pocket.

Last but not least, the refill gel bottle not only protects the environment but also your wallet. With the 125ml bottle, the user saves compared to individual 33g gel bags. One bottle corresponds to approx. 4 Squeezy gel bags.

Prices: 125ml neck hanger 5,40 euros / 500ml refill 16,50 euros

In addition to sport, he works on his second mainstay and has completed his business administration studies at the LMU Munich.
