Product news: Very few people like getting wet while cycling. That's why Bioracer is constantly working on developing new materials and fabrics to protect cyclists from the element of water in the best possible way. With the Bioracer Kaaiman, a rain jacket was developed whose surface structure is reminiscent of crocodile skin and should not let a drop penetrate.
At Bioracer themselves, the new technology is referred to as "crocodile scales", which you only really recognize at second glance. What then emerges on the black Bioracer Kaaiman is impressive and should be convincing, especially in the rain and wet conditions. According to the manufacturer, the surface structure does not let water through, the individual drops roll off or can simply be shaken off. So that no water can penetrate through the seams, Bioracer is working for the first time with ultrasonically welded seams, which are also taped on the inside. A PU-coated YKK zipper also prevents moisture from seeping through.
Where water can't get in, it usually can't get out. To ensure a pleasant microclimate, there are two ventilation openings on the back of the Kaaiman. A mesh lining on the inside of the jacket prevents the skin from feeling clammy.
Anyone familiar with Bioracer products knows that aerodynamics have always played an important role. The cut of the jacket is also aerodynamically optimised, close-fitting and designed for the position on the bike. So short at the front and long at the back so that nothing pinches and splash water is safely kept away.
