Cycle cross: The spectators were able to celebrate three German victories this Sunday at the cyclo cross in Bensheim. Dressed in their championship jerseys, Tom Lindner, Marcel Meisen and Elisabeth Brandau finished ahead of the competition.
The German champions dominate in Bensheim
Although a few top stars were missing from the Grand Prix in Bensheim, the event was well attended - both on the fan side and on the driver side. And coming was definitely worth it for the local spectators, because three German victories were celebrated. First, Tom Lindner won the junior race with a lead of over 20 seconds. Then Elisabeth Brandau followed suit. A few months ago she won the German championship here, as did Marcel Meisen, who also won at the culmination of the day.
Elizabeth Brandau:
“The legs were better than I thought in the morning. But above all my tires were ideal, even with the low pressure.”
Marcel Meisen:
“The competition was strong, but some big names were also missing. So I definitely wanted to win here again.”
