General: Winora Sinus i series honored with a special distinction from the German Design Award

22 November 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Market / E-Performance: The “Special Mention” of the German Design Award is given annually to works whose design shows particularly successful solutions. This year the premium prize was awarded to the new Winora Sinus i series.

For the new model year, Winora has expanded the Sinus i series with a battery integrated in the frame. For the first time, in addition to a men's or women's model, customers can also choose a single-tube variant with comfortable step-through. The hydroformed frame tube and the form-fitting battery cover should protect the battery from any environmental influences in the best possible way. Charging is possible with both the integrated and removed battery. A solution that obviously also convinced the jury of the German Design Award. The new Winora Sinus i series was awarded the "Special Mention 2019" - a prize that is awarded annually to products whose design features particularly successful solutions. The jury praised the high level of design when integrating the battery and the drive into the frame design. "An elegant design that looks dynamic and modern and convinces with cleverly solved details," the jury continued. The Sinus i models are available with all current Bosch systems at prices starting at 2.599 euros.
