Product news: Victoria e-bikes 2019: from e-folding bikes to sporty e-trekking bikes

27 November 2018 by Florian Nowak

Product news/E-Performance: With a total of 42 models in the area of e-performance alone, Victoria covers a wide range of requirement profiles with the 2019 e-bikes. One of the highlights of the Victoria model range is the new eFolding series, in which a folding mechanism allows the bike to be folded up to a compact pack size.

Victoria E-Bikes 2019: eTrekking

The e-trekking bikes from Victoria are primarily for touring-oriented everyday use. With over 20 different models in the different series, Victoria offers a huge selection for just about every taste.

Victoria eTrekking 12 & 11 series:

With the high-quality 12 and 11 models, there are three frame shapes to choose from (men/trapezoid/wave); In addition, there is the optically and technically impressive Powertube system from Bosch with an internal 500 watt hour battery. Versions with derailleur (12 models) or hub gears (11) are available; for 3.199 euros each you get the eTrekking 12.9 with Shimano XT 11-speed or the eTrekking 11.9 with the stepless NuVinci gear hub.

Victoria eTrekking 11.9 – Bosch Performance CX motor/ Shimano hydraulic disc brakes/ Nu Vinci N380/ 3.199 euros

Victoria eTrekking 8 and 7 series:

Up to four frame shapes are available for the sometimes very sporty bikes in the 7 series (hub gears) and 8 series (derailleur gears). The battery is on the outside of the frame, on the luggage rack of the “Deep” entry-level model; The motorization ranges from the new Bosch Active Plus to the powerful "Performance CX" motor on the eTrekking 8.10, which is the only bike in the range to be equipped with the new Kiox display from Bosch and at 3.399 euros also marks the upper price limit of the series. Apart from eTrekking 7.5 and 7.3, all models have the long-range 500 Wh battery; if you are satisfied with 400 watt hours, you can save 200 euros. The 8, 7 and 6 models share a practical feature: the "Speedlifter" handlebar stem, which allows 10 cm of height adjustment with one movement.

Victoria eTrekking 8.8 – Bosch Performance motor/ Shimano hydraulic disc brakes/ Shimano Deore/ 2.699 euros

Victoria eTrekking 7.7 – Bosch Active Line Plus motor/Shimano hydraulic disc brakes/Shimano Nexus 8-speed/Gates CDX belt/ 2.999 Euro

Victoria eTrekking 6 & 5 series:

The two 6-seater bikes, one with 500 Wh capacity, one with 400 Wh, show features of the more expensive models with derailleur gears and disc brakes; the nine 5-series e-bikes come with hub gears and hydraulic rim brakes. There are restrictions when it comes to choosing a frame, but the cheapest model is available for just 1.799 euros. That's enough for the current “Active Line” motor from Bosch along with a 300 Wh battery – perfectly adequate for everyday use, even with a limited range.

Victoria E-Bikes 2019: eManufaktur & eUrban

The four premium models from Victoria eManufaktur focus on comfort and solidity. Relaxed handlebar shapes and a permissible total weight of 170 kg enable carefree driving pleasure. The eManufaktur 9.7 model with "Bosch Performance" drive and the particularly resilient Enviolo gear hub with stepless shifting is particularly noteworthy. The two frame shapes are an interesting detail: "Unisex" as well as "Wave" defy the usual men's-women's scheme - whatever you like is allowed!

The two eUrban models with rigid forks take up these frame shapes and combine them with wide Supermoto slick tires and gear hubs plus toothed belt. Typical of the genre are the eUrban 11.9 (Bosch Performance CX, Nuvinci hub, 3.499 euros) and 11.5 (Bosch Performance, Shimano Nexus Premium 8-speed, 3.299 euros) in matt black.

Victoria E-Bikes 2019: eFolding

The eFolding models offer versatility for everyday use. They are nimble and maneuverable with 20-inch wheels and can be folded up small thanks to a sturdy folding joint and folding handlebar. The three models range from 2 to XNUMX.999 and 3.499 euros come with the smooth-running "Bosch Active Line Plus" drive and disc brakes; there are differences in the hub gears and battery capacity. As usual, only one frame size is available; the color palette of the compact electric bikes is very appealing.

Victoria eFolding 7.7 – The top model in detail

Victoria eFolding 7.7

The top model of the Victoria e-folding bike series is the eFolding 7.7, which has a decent performance with a Bosch Active Line Plus motor and 500 Wh battery. Equipped with Gates belts, disc and coaster brakes, Racktime luggage rack and the 50 LUX bright Busch+Müller lighting system, the Victoria eFolding 7.7 offers first-class suitability for everyday use.

Victoria E-Bikes 2019: eSpecial

Victoria eSpecial 10.7 – 3.699 euros

The eSpecial occupies a special position in the Victoria program. The brand's only S-Pedelec is designed as a typical trekking bike and offers ten-speed derailleur gears and a suspension fork that can be locked from the handlebars. Brake lights, side mirrors and of course the license plate holder characterize the model, which is available in two frame shapes, as a 45 km/h bike. The snappy four-piston disc brake from Magura is also typical of the fast class. At 3.699 euros, this is the most expensive electric bike in the Victoria collection.
