Product news: Cannondale presents new F-Si Hi-Mod retro frame. Matching Lefty Ocho forks and retro color gradients celebrate Cannondale's successful racing history. Finished in Viper Red and Team Blue gloss finishes, these state-of-the-art framesets pay tribute to the brand's early days in cross country.
Cannondale F-Si Hi Mod Retro Frame:
The Viper Red version pays homage to the HeadShok hardtails used by the legendary Cannondale MTB racing team from 1994-1997. The Team Blue colorway with yellow "Quad Wrap" decals pays tribute to the unrivaled CAAD3, CAAD4 and CAAD5 framesets that shone on the racetrack from 1998-2002. In their day, the Cannondale "Factory" race team's oversized alloy frames with HeadShok suspension forks were as modern and radically new as the new F-Si and Lefty Ocho are today. In its eight-year career, the Cannondale team racked up an unmatched tally of victories; including 11 world titles, 17 World Cup titles, 16 US titles, 33 Norba wins, two Olympic medals (silver and bronze) and two gold medals at the Pan-Am Games. The team also earned numerous podium finishes: 184 times at World Cup events, 35 times at the World Cup Series, 21 times at World Championships and 84 times at Norba events.
The retro-looking Cannondale F-Si frames share the same features as current F-Si models, including OutFront Geometry, nimble Ai rear triangle, quick-release dropouts and, of course, Lefty Ocho, the world's first single-leg suspension fork with only a fork head. The F-Si Retro frames are offered in sizes S to XL and are only available in limited quantities.
