General

General: Market: Kettler Alu Rad not affected by bankruptcy - bicycles and e-bikes are independent and future-proof

8 November 2018 by Marcus Degen

Market: Anyone who rides a bicycle or e-bike from Kettler or is considering buying one may be unsettled by current press reports about the famous Kettcar - but without any reason.

The threatened insolvency of the traditional leisure goods manufacturer Kettler GmbH has no effect on Kettler cyclists. The future of Kettcar, garden furniture, fitness equipment and table tennis tables from Ense-Parsit in Westphalia currently seems unclear, but the company's world-famous and valued bicycle division is not affected.

Because this, together with the production plant in Hanweiler, Saarland, has been one of the experts of the Kölner Zweirad-Einkaufs-Genossenschaft (ZEG) since 2015 and is in a very good position economically. Under the umbrella of ZEG, Kettler Alu-Rad GmbH, which is the actual company name of the KETTLER bicycle brand, has maintained the well-known level of quality and has already presented many exciting innovations "made in Germany" for the 2019 season.

This is underlined, for example, by interesting e-bikes such as the minimalist 2° models (Link) or the family-friendly Quadriga series (Link) with its own child trailer and many smart integrations.
