Product news: The Shimano component brand PRO is expanding its range with Gravel-specific handlebars and bags. The line-up of the DISCOVER series includes two handlebars and four different bags for long-distance and adventure riders.
12-degree DISCOVER MEDIUM FLARE
The two new handlebar models made of 6066 aluminum are aimed at all riders who want to make their road bike suitable for gravel by replacing the handlebars. Both handlebars allow the SHIMANO EW-RS910 Di2 Junction distributor to be installed, so that the cables can be routed inside the handlebars in a visually appealing way. Weighing only 270 grams, the 12-degree handlebars are available in 40 cm, 42 cm and 44 cm widths (measured from center to center before the beginning of the bend) with an additional 2,35 cm flare on both sides. The 10-degree handlebars with a width of 30 cm or 42 cm weigh just 44 grams more for more aggressive riders. The wide flare of the handlebars ensures an effective reach of 42 cm in the grip area of the lower handlebars.

With the DISCOVER series, PRO also has four different bags for multi-day gravel tours. In addition to an 8 liter handlebar bag, a 15 liter saddle bag and two frame bags should generate more storage space. The 5,5 liter frame bag, which is divided into two areas, is located between the seat tube, head tube and top tube. The bag is easily attached to the top tube and seat tube with Velcro fasteners. The 0,75 liter top tube bag can be screwed to the frame or - if no corresponding holes are available - fixed with Velcro fasteners. The zip on the top tube pocket with a large eyelet allows quick access to the storage compartment at all times. All bags come in a dark grey-green design, the soft Velcro straps are designed to prevent scratching the frame.
