Anyone who likes to push their limits in an enduro race knows how important it is that you can rely 100 percent on your backpack and the more sweaty, technical and demanding it gets, the more important it becomes. For example, the designers at EVOC gave the FR LITE RACE 10l an all-round treatment including a facelift for the company anniversary. In addition to an ergonomic update and a new look, the protector backpack has also received a few new features.
No matter what the situation, whether it's going uphill or rapidly downhill, a backpack has to fit, but it mustn't stick to your back or even get in your way. The EVOC FR LITE RACE 10l is lighter, more compact and flatter than its predecessor. Nevertheless, with its LITESHIELD back protector, it offers 95 percent shock absorption. There is room for this, in addition to a 3-liter drinking bladder (optional), in the main compartment, which can be opened completely.
Everything has its place here and even better. Compared to the previous model, the tool compartment is integrated directly on the front of the backpack, so it is much faster and more convenient to reach with one hand thanks to the double zipper. In addition, for the energy kick in between, the racing backpack is equipped with a catering compartment on the left chest strap, so energy bars & Co. are much faster to hand.
A lot has also happened in terms of ergonomics, for example the back section has been shortened by a total of five centimeters, which should result in an even more comfortable seat. The shoulder straps have also been optimised, these now close with the upper edge of the EVOC FR LITE RACE 10l, so it should no longer hit the neck or helmet so quickly on steep and rapid descents. The last point of the ergonomics optimization is dedicated to the back part, this is now designed a little narrower, so the contact surface on the back is reduced and freedom of movement is increased.
A moisture-wicking 3D AIR MESH fabric was used to offer sufficient breathability with an optimal fit. This can be found in the lumbar region, on the shoulder straps and on the hip belt, the latter primarily ensures that the weight is distributed in the direction of the body's center of gravity and fixes the backpack neatly on the hips. The well-known LITESHIELD SYSTEM AIR with a large ventilation duct and EVA padding reduces the contact surface while being as close as possible to the back. A height-adjustable chest strap, a fleece-lined glasses compartment, a key pocket with carabiner and a small pocket on the hip belt are of course also on board.
The EVOC FR LITE RACE 10l will be available in stores from autumn 2018 in the colors Carbon Grey/Black, Carbon Grey/Sulphur and Carbon Grey/Orange.
