Product news: Ampler Bikes opens flagship store in Berlin

August 7, 2018 by the editorial office

Ampler bikes

Product news/E-Performance: Ampler Bikes, the manufacturer of light e-bikes, has opened its flagship store in the heart of Berlin. Since it was founded in 2016, Ampler has sold thousands of bikes directly to customers - with the flagship store, efforts in Germany and Central Europe are being further intensified.

Ampler with three new e-bikes: Curt, Stout and Stellar - from 14kg!

The Ampler Bikes showroom can be found in the Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin, at Kollwitzstrasse 47. From there, the flagship store will act as the basis for all business activities in Germany and Central Europe, be it sales in the store, as a test center or as a regional contact point for warranty and service. In addition to the flagship store, the company has created further opportunities to test the bikes in Amsterdam, Zurich, Munich, Düsseldorf and Vienna.

[testimonial name=“Hannes Laar“ title=“Founder and CTO“ background=“#“ color=“#“ border=“#“ img_border=“#“ name_color=“#“ title_color=“#“]Our first brand store is an important milestone in the company's history. This is also because we believe that direct sales guarantee fair prices and the best service for customers. Creating our own store instead of going through retailers was the only logical step. Our vision of becoming the first choice for urban commuting solutions requires bold decisions to reach more people with our message and our products. We are proud of what we have achieved over the past two years and hope to continue breaking down physical barriers and making urban cycling accessible to more and more people across Europe.[/testimonial]

Ampler Bikes first caused a stir in 2016 when its lightweight e-bikes that look like regular bikes were launched on Indiegogo. In February 2018, Ampler introduced three new models called the Curt, Stout and Stellar. We have already been able to test the Curt extensively, you can find the report here in the article. You can also find an article about the three model variants here in the story. The lightest of these weighs just 14,1 kilograms. The company comes from Tallinn in Estonia, where the three founders built the first prototype in 2014. Ampler currently has 16 employees in two offices in Berlin and Tallinn.
