Bicycle workshop: Tips&Tricks Video: FOX Suspension Friday – The right compression setting

July 13, 2018 by the editorial office

Tips & Tricks Video: In the next few weeks we will always have a "Fox Suspension Friday" on Friday, in which we would like to present you with all the basic things about suspension elements. Today's Fox Suspension Friday is about:

How do I set my compression level of the suspension fork/shock absorber?

The topic of suspension setup is one of the most important topics that exist when it comes to mountain biking. Safety and control on the trail play a major role here. The compression level of a suspension fork or damper is a complex issue. Usually there are a lot of cogs and clicks that we can adjust. But which setting is the right one? The suspension fork and damper should always harmonize as perfectly as possible. There are also always half-truths circulating in the scene about how a chassis should be perfectly adjusted. Together with Chris Trojer from Fox, we will explain to you how you can adjust an air suspension fork or damper perfectly. It is important to always follow the steps that Chris Trojer describes in the video in the right order - this is the only way to find a perfect basic setup.
