cycling: Apres Tour Gera: Experience professional cycling up close on August 4th

July 31, 2018 by Florian Nowak

Cycling: Tour star Marcel Kittel is coming to the fourth edition of the Apres Tour on August 04th, 2018 Gera. In addition to six junior races at the beginning, the highlights this year the professional race, as well as the celebrity race.

There are still a few days until the registration deadline for the junior races, which
enjoying increasing popularity. This year, too, there will be no boredom among the pros and celebrities, because there are entertaining, crisp races on the schedule again.

After the junior race and between the professional races, the celebrity race will also take place this year. Not only the old hands are there, but also alumni in the prime of cycling age, such as the Thuringian top sprinter Renè Enders or crowd favorites Marcel Barth and Nils Plötner. The list of well-known names is very long, so here is just a small foretaste: Olaf Ludwig, Thomas Barth, Gerald Mortag, Wolfgang Lötzsch and many more. will show what they can do in the criterion and in the elimination race and also make the older cycling heart beat faster.

In the past three events, the Apres Tour Gera was particularly successful due to the
well-known professional race of itself attention. After the victories of Andrè Greipel, Nils Politt
and Robert Wagner wants Marcel Kittel to be at the top in Gera this time. A look at the start list shows that it won't be a sure-fire success, because it will be difficult against the fast legs of Rüdiger Selig, third-placed in this year's German championship Max Walscheid, or Jasha Sütterlin. Marcel will be supported by his noble domestic Rick Zabel. So there is plenty of excitement.
