Product news: The German impeller manufacturer Citec is a little unknown, especially in the professional sector. Nevertheless, the wheels "Made in Germany" do not have to hide. Among other things, the new Citec 8000 Ultra series is the world's lightest 80 mm high clincher full carbon wheelset, which also promises the best aerodynamics.
Citec 8000 Ultra – The lightest 80mm clincher in the world
A real eye-catcher is the new full carbon system wheelset 8000 Ultra, which weighs only 80 grams with a rim height of 1495 mm and is therefore the lightest 80mm high clincher full carbon wheelset is world's. Due to the super light weight in relation to the rim height and the excellent aerodynamics of the high profile construction, these high-tech full carbon system wheels are ideal for competitions, as well as time trials and triathlon competitions. Thanks to the integrated aluminum braking surfaces, the Citec 8000 Ultra offers very good braking properties even in wet conditions. The rims are optimized with carbon knife spokes and high-flange carbon hubs. But the 80000 Ultra can not only be used as a complete wheel set, because the front wheel can also be used as a supplement to the disc wheel in time trials or triathlons. Citec 8000CX/63
The Citec 8000 CX/63 is equipped with a 63 mm high carbon-aluminium composite rim profile. This not only offers very good aerodynamics, but also thanks to the integrated concave system together with the ETS Spoke system an extremely laterally stiff wheel set with a very light set weight of just 1580 grams. Due to the lower rim height compared to the 80mm wheels, the 63 mm high wheels offer very good steering behavior even in difficult wind conditions. The turned aluminum braking surfaces ensure excellent braking properties.

For those who want a wheelset that is not susceptible to wind, Citec offers the new 8000CX/53 with a 53 mm carbon-aluminium composite rim profile.
