General

General: The cult continues: Renthal Fatbar handlebars are now also available in black

March 21, 2018 by Andrew Waldera

Market: With the gold-colored anodized Fatbar handlebars, the Renthal brand not only set visual accents in downhill sports. The English component manufacturer is now presenting the revised version of the iconic handlebar in black. The good piece will be distributed from the end of March by Cosmic Sports GmbH in Fürth.

The English brand Renthal has been manufacturing high-quality handlebars and chainrings for motocross for over three decades. The company, which both develops and produces in Stockport, England, is also not idle in the mountain bike sector. The Fatbar handlebar, specially developed for downhill racing, quickly became a popular cult item. The handlebar draws attention to itself from afar with its gold-colored anodizing. For the 2018 season, Renthal has now completely redesigned the legendary downhill handlebar. Manufactured from butted 7050 T-6 aluminum, the width of the Renthal Fatbar V2 has grown to 800 millimeters. Despite the increase in handlebar width, the manufacturer promises the same stability and flex characteristics - and that with a weight reduction to 315 grams. The Renthal Fatbar Lite V2 for trail and all mountain riders has also gained in width. The manufacturer puts the weight of the 760 millimeter wide aluminum handlebar at 270 grams. The two handlebars are available in four elevations (10, 20, 30 and 40 millimeters) and two handlebar clamps (31,8 and 35 millimeters). If you want to screw one of the good pieces to your bike, you have to put 84,99 euros on the counter.
