Prostyle blog: The start of the season for the Prostyle cycle tour operator will also take place at the beginning of March this year in the warm regions of South Africa, where the participants will prepare for the season together with Jens Heppner for ten days and at the same time enjoy the cultural and culinary highlights of the region.
Only a few days left and Prostyle will also ring in the year and the 2018 season in South Africa. Almost traditionally, together with the participants, the early form will be honed in the warmth of the African cycling Mecca and at the same time the culinary highlights of the region will be enjoyed. It starts on March 3rd in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape in the midst of the local vineyards, which are known all over the world. From there it goes to the first stages, including to Gordon's Bay and Franshoek.
According to the motto - first work, then pleasure - the morning is used for the varied excursions. Once again, the guide is none other than Jens Heppner, who knows the region very well himself. After the work is done and a short lunch break, the focus is on the culinary and cultural program in the afternoon - a wine tasting and numerous scenic highlights await in the wineries of the region.
After five days in Stellenbosch, we head to the vibrant metropolis of Cape Town. In the next few days, Table Mountain and Cape Point, among other things, will be explored from Hout Bay. As a special highlight, there are also a few exits on Chapmans Peak, which is probably one of the most beautiful roads of all. The trip to South Africa finally finds a worthy conclusion at the 41st Cape Town Cycle Tour, the largest race for everyone in the world. The prostyle squad will join the more than 30.000 participants and tackle the 109 km long course.
