Four-time Tour de France winner Christopher Froome tested positive for high levels of the asthma drug salbutamol, as confirmed by the B sample. Froome suffers from asthma and takes salbutamol regularly. At one stage of this year's Vuelta, too much of the drug was detected. According to the rules of the UCI, he is not initially blocked but only has to explain himself first.
