Ulissi lives up to his role as favourite
On the first three days of the Tour of Turkey, we have already seen victories for the favorite thanks to Sam Bennett's (Bora-hansgrohe) hat-trick. On undulating terrain, there was another victory for the favorites today. Diego Ulissi prevailed on the 204,1 kilometer route from Marmaris to Selçuk ahead of Jesper Hansen (Astana) and Daniel Martinez (Wilier Triestina-Selle Italia). The Italian also took the lead in the overall standings from the Irishman. Sam Bennett crossed the finish line second to last, almost a quarter of an hour behind. His Austrian team colleague Gregor Mühlberger was a strong eighth today.
