General: Richie Porte falls badly during the descent - Touraus!

July 9, 2017 by the editorial office

News in brief: Bad scenes on today's queen stage of the 2017 Tour de France. Richie Porte (BMC) falls heavily as part of the leading group on the descent from Mont du Chat. For reasons that are not yet clear, the Australian went off the road and crashed into Daniel Martin (Quick-Step Floors) after the fall. The end of the tour for the 32-year-old top favorite is certain - but that's secondary now, we hope Richie hasn't injured himself too badly and we wish him a speedy recovery!
