Cycling: The forecasts for the Tour de France are becoming a bit monotonous on the flat stages. Marcel Kittel (Quick-Step Floors) dominates the bunch sprints at will. A Sprint Royal is also expected in Pau tomorrow. And the favorite can only be Marcel Kittel. Or does André Greipel (Lotto Soudal) perhaps achieve the first success?

Has Marcel Kittel already secured the green jersey?
Halftime at the Tour de France - at least almost! Because tomorrow is the eleventh of 21 stages. It takes the drivers over 203,5 kilometers from Eymet to Pau. The profile of the stage can be described as almost flat. The only mountain classification is taken almost 60 kilometers before the finish and belongs to the fourth category. Three kilometers before that, the contenders sprint for points on the green. Although there will probably be three more mass sprints, Marcel Kittel just seems to be overthinking it. It is quite possible that fewer and fewer professionals will take part in the interim ranking. Marcel Kittel's competitors only have a real chance if the German misses an arrival completely.
The current status of the points classification of the Tour de France
| PLATZ | Driver | Country | Team | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. | Marcel Kittel | Germany | Quick Step Floors | 275 |
| 2. | Michael Matthews | Australia | Sunweb | 173 |
| 3. | André Greipel | Germany | Lotto Soudal | 150 |
| 4. | alexander kristoff | Norway | Katusha Alpecin | 140 |
| 5. | Sonny Colbrelli | Italy | Bahrain Merida | 89 |
Our tip: Marcel Kittel continues to dominate - victory number five
One thing is for sure: Kittel is not full yet. The new German record holder - measured by the stage victories in the Tour de France - wants to get the maximum out of it. He has already clinched four wins, but four more would be possible in the best case. There is a chance tomorrow when we arrive in Pau. If you look at the previous sprint arrivals, you can hardly imagine any other winner than Marcel Kittel. At least consistently, no other pilot can drive in the front. Therefore, our tip for tomorrow can only be the man in the green jersey. However, we would also like to wish André Greipel (Lotto Soudal) a first success at this year's Tour de France. Even if he's on today tenth stage could not get the best out of it despite being in a perfect position. John Degenkolb (Trek-Segafredo) and Rüdiger Selig (Bora-hansgrohe) will probably continue to get free rein for a bunch sprint from their teams.
*** Marcel Kittel
** André Greipel, Alexander Kristoff
* Nacer Bouhanni, Michael Matthews, Dylan Groenewegen
