Product news: Elite Fly Team: Extremely light drinking bottle in the design of the top teams

June 5, 2017 by Andrew Waldera

Market: The Elite Fly Team drinking bottle is record-breakingly light with a weight of only 54 grams. So light that the bottle, designed for sporting and competitive use, is used directly by nine World Tour teams. As a special highlight for fans, the fly is available in the design of the team.

Fly Sky Team 550ml

The extremely light drinking bottle from Elite combines a sporty, slim design with useful detailed solutions. Despite the compact shape, which is also suitable for sloping frames or two mounted bottle cages, the Fly has a capacity of 550 ml. The standard diameter of 74 mm allows it to be used with all commercially available drinking bottle cages. The opening, which is 20% larger than that of conventional bottles, makes it easy to fill and clean. The bead, a depression on the upper side of the bottle body, increases the stability of the fly while driving. The soft silicone push-pull valve is designed to ensure quick opening and closing. According to the manufacturer Elite, the Fly drinking bottle is 100% recyclable, BPA-free and biodegradable. The maximum liquid temperature is given as 40°.

The Elite Fly Team is available in the design of the following teams: Team Sky, BMC Racing Team, Team Sunweb, Orica Scott, Team Movistar, Team Lotto Soudal, Équipe cycliste FDJ, Bahrain Merida Team, AG2R La Mondiale Team and UAE team Emirates. The Fly is also available in the versions "Grandfondo Elite White" and "Grandfondo Elite Black". With a price of 6,95 euros, the drinking bottle is also very lightweight in terms of price.
