cycling: Max Kanter is the new German U23 champion – Florian Nowak in 4th place

May 21, 2017 by Michael Behringer

Cycling: Max Kanter (Sunweb Development Team) won the German U23 championship in Dautphetal today. The 19-year-old from Cottbusser succeeds Pascal Ackermann (Bora-hansgrohe). Velomotion editor Florian Nowak finished fourth!

Strong team effort by the Sunweb Development Team

The Sunweb Development Team was in breakaways throughout the day with Martin Salmon and Florian Stork. In this way, the race events could be co-determined. In the end, a group of around 20 people arrived at the front and Max Kanter's colleagues prepared the sprint in an exemplary manner. After 188 intensive kilometers he was able to prevail in front of Simon Laib (Herrman Radteam) and Christian Koch (LKT Brandenburg).

Velomotion editor Florian Nowak drove to a great, but unfortunately thankless fourth place. Nevertheless, congratulations from the entire editorial team!

Max Kanter: "My teammates put me in an optimal position for the last few kilometers, so all I had to do was push through."

#U23GermanNC Winning the German Championships today was an incredible achievement by our team. 🇩🇪
